| The
Kansas Nutrition Network is a coalition of state-level public and
private agencies and professionals working in nutrition education,
food assistance programs, or other areas supportive of the KNN mission.
By participating in this Network, a coalition member shares ideas
and resources that can further both the goals of the individual
or agency and KNN. Coalition members respect the goals of other
Network members while developing a consensus on how to work together
toward the mission of KNN. Coalition members have the following
responsibilities:
Work
with the KNN staff to establish goals and objectives for the Network
that reflect the mission of KNN; Seek
funding to leverage USDA monies and funding for special grants
that will continue the operation of the
Network and allow for the implementation of special projects identified
by the Coalition; Make
recommendations to the Steering Committee for organizations
or agencies that may be invited to join the Network
or to participate on special projects; Share
areas of expertise and resources with other Coalition members; Actively
participate in Coalition meetings. |
