| The Resource List developed by the Weight Realities Division is now updated on the Society for Nutrition Education (SNE) web site. www.sne.org This division promotes a health-focused philosophy vs. a weight loss or weight-focused outlook. Click on the web site, then go to Resources and Relationships and look for the Weight Realities Division. While at the SNE web site, also look under Positions and Resolutions for Guidelines for Childhood Obesity Prevention Programs, available in both English and Spanish. |

This is a quick guide designed to help consumers find information and educational materials related to senior nutrition. in food assistance programs, strong research-based data to support increased
participation in food stamps and school meals. |
| In 2000, 8.8 million children received food stamps, making the Food Stamp Program a crucial component of the social safety net. Using the Current Population Survey from 1989 to 2001, researchers considered the impact of food stamps on poverty and found that food stamp benefits lead to large reductions in the poverty gap measures. www.ers.usda.gov/publications/fanrr33/ |
